Patrick developed a love for photography after buying his first film camera while in the Navy and began shooting landscapes in the Pacific Northwest. He later learned darkroom techniques and Ansel Adams’ Zone System in junior college. Patrick went on to minor in photography while earning his undergraduate degree in Texas.
