About the Gallery

Who We Are

Main Street Artists Gallery was formed in 2009 when artists and art-lovers in Plumas County joined together to create a venue for presenting high quality professional art to the public and provide a location for exciting cultural events. Our beautiful gallery is located in the historic Clinch Building on Main Street in the heart of Quincy. Currently 30 artists and 23 patrons keep the gallery active.

The gallery is staffed by the artists and patrons — we are friendly and highly knowledgeable about the artwork. Come in and see the work, meet the artists and ask all the questions you want.

What We Do

FIRST FRIDAY RECEPTIONS

Please join us on the first Friday of each month for an artist reception, 5-7 pm. It’s always a lively event with refreshments and gallery artists to chat with. We would love to see you there!

ONE PERSON SHOWS

Each month the artwork of one or more artists is highlighted in the main gallery. The remaining gallery members have 2 works on view at all times in the back of the gallery, also changing monthly. This keeps the gallery a hub of creative energy with new work constantly on display, making it worth a visit each month.

VISITING ARTISTS

In a small side gallery guest artists are featured monthly so we may showcase intriguing artists from outside Plumas County.

FRAMING SERVICES

The Gallery now stocks a selection of ready-made frames and pre-cut mats.

CULTURAL EVENTS

The gallery also hosts book readings, art films, workshops, and is available to the public for private events.

GIFT CERTIFICATES

We offer gift certificates in any amount.  Art is a wonderful gift, but it can be difficult to choose for someone else. This is a great solution!
