Debbie Kercmar Boyd

Debbie grew up surrounded by nature in the rolling hills of Southern California. The country beauty of her hometown and the wildlife native to it has always inspired the self-taught artist, who has always loved arts and crafts of all types. A passion—leading to a small independent business—in scrapbooking led to her finding her talents in painting. Her talents grew, literally, from small tole painting projects in 2002 to another small independent business in 2004, painting faux projects and murals, bringing her creative vision into homes and businesses.

She has also been a professional portrait photographer from 2008-2018, and placing first place in the 2005 Southern California Fair in Acrylic Paintings for “Double Delight”, a 24”x24” painting of a two-toned rose.

In 2018, Debbie began to paint again, after a 10 year gap in creating art. By 2020 she had changed up mediums again, trying and falling in love with watercolors, then in 2022 she started oil painting and painting more impressionistic. She is known for the soft realism in her paintings of flowers, and other animals—including owls, deer, bears, cows, and chickens.
