The Grand Re-Opening!!

by Marc Ellen Hamel on April 10th, 2014

On Friday, April 4, the Main Street Artists Gallery reopened with great fanfare and many fans in attendance at the Reception from 5 - 7 pm that night.  Lots of great food, wines, and, best of all, MANY GREAT FRIENDS were there to see the unveiling of the gallery with its new floors, new front entry and other fine details.

Gallery Director, Lara Eichenberger, expressed it well:
" Friday's Grand Re-Opening was phenomenal - the town came out to welcome us back in a big way and it was most heartwarming.  The gallery looked great, thanks to Richard Daunand his crew renovating and updating the space with a new floor, two new doors and removal of the old vestibule,  resulting  in an inviting, spacious gallery .  Big kudos to George Fluke whose lovely and clever noise reduction ceiling installation made it possible to actually have a conversation in the crowded room.  He also gave the whole gallery a new paint job.  Jane Strohmaier created an eye-catching display of select pieces of art on the main table.  Mark Beaulieu reassembled the display furniture and added new lighting to the jewelry cabinet and Marilyn Hoffman assisted in putting the office/kitchen back together.

After the fabulous art pieces were hung by our intrepid crew, (George, Marv Schmidt, Michael Kerby & Michael Gunter) the gallery never looked better.  Everyone's artwork seems to have improved over the 3.5 month hiatus, as if your batteries were recharged and everyone seemed to go  to the next level.  During the opening, I heard this comment from many people who were very impressed with the quality of the art. "

Below you will see just a few of the new artworks on display.  Come visit the gallery and see the rest!
